Default Powerchip V8

www.powerchipgroup.com. I'm about to find out just what difference it makes.
I went with the Gold 91 that on the book shows will add
16 hp and 23 ft lbs tq.
I always run the highest octane I can find so the chip
will take advantage of that.
They had the Gold 93 but I wanted some room to work with.
I was called and asked what other mods I have done so they
could make the chip take full advantage of the other mods.

Update:
I put the ECM in last night, started the truck and let
run about 10 mins.
While it was running I noticed that the exhaust smelled different.
On the way to work this morning the dead spot from 30 mph to 40 mph
was gone, before I would have to give it more gas to move at the
same rate as 0 to 30 mph now its the same 0 to 40 mph.
At work I wanted to make sure that the ECM would still talk through
the OBD II port.
What I found surprised me, the readiness status were complete
all of them this was after only 10 miles.
The codes under normal circumstances it takes 3 to 4 days to
have all codes ready.
This may indicate a faster sampling rate.
So far what I see I like but I'm a hard sell.

Update: I have now filled the Disco for the first time after
getting chipped and 14.7 mpg in town before 12.4 to 12.8 mph.
Power and better mpg's I'm going to see if it holds.
And highway test is next about 700 miles from Dallas To
Albuquerque this is going up hill.

Update: My fill up in town was 14.3 mpg this time.
Going to Albuquerque 1st tank was 15.98 mpg
2nd tank was 15.2 mpg, 3rd tank was 13.7 mpg.
I was hoping for more, the 1st tank was 70 to 75 mph flat ground no wind.
The 2nd tank was Rolling hills 70 to 80 mph.
Last tank was elevation gain of 3000 ft, head wind about 15 mph,
75 to 80 mph and AC.
The power was there passing going up hill was easier.
If I slow down some maybe I could better mpg's but
I will never know that.
When I come back in afew month's I will see what going down hill
will do for mpg's.

Powerchip did say that if I used the power wide open
I would get less mpgs I was for warned.
But I like the power and I did not buy my Disco
for the mileage.[sm=nxsmile.gif]

Update: Albuquerque NM.
In town is mpg is from 14.8 mpg to 15.3 mpg.
I will have to drive 70 mph going back to Dallas (5 mph under speed limit in NM)
to see what kind of mpg's I can get. (70 mph is limit TX on roads I will be on.)
The chip in town is paying for its self.
Its still around $2.00 more 93 than 89 and with better Hp & Tq and mpg's in town
I'm sold.
Intake is next I like the Camel Style, inside the fender and metal.

500 bones for 16hp[sm=dontgetit.gif]

Land Rovers run rich with the chip it doesn't.

So the brake down is yes only 16hp but 23 ft lbs tq.

Thats 182 hp to 198hp and 233 lbs tq to 256 ft lbs tq.

Not a lot, but better than stock.

Less fuel used (about 2 mpg gain in town) same mpg Hwy.

And last I'm a GEAR HEAD oK I said it.

I don't smoke, can't drink so I have to spend my money some how.

Just out of curiosity, how many miles on your engine? Also what have you done around your plugs and wires since your rechipping, more voltage will bring up the numbers?
