Very nice!

Awesome! Do you have an ETA for selling the Johnson Rods for the LR5?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you're now selling them, great!

Here is another dealer build with a Johnson Rod 1.5 inch lift, 275-55-20 DuraTrac mud terrains (31.9 inches), roof rack and black powder coated wheels. Trying to get some more mods such as a safari rack, sliders and winch. Will post new photos as they get built. The mud terrains look great on this D5.

Thanks for posting these man! I am excited to see more so definitely keep us updated. Planning on going higher on the lift kit? Say 2.5"?

Have you experimented with bigger tires, clearance, rubbing?

Thanks!!!

hello

what you think, will 275/60 r20 also fit with the 1,5 lift kit?

thanks

Johnson Rods 03-16-2018 06:18 PM

No, I believe that would be too big at 33 inches.
The 275-55-20 seems to work well around 32 inches.
Here is a picture of a D5 towing with the lift kit and larger tires.
Owner says it works great.

Is there any rubbing whatsoever with this setup?

Running 275-55-20 Cooper Adventurer ATs with no lift on Redbourne 20x10 rims. When first installed, I locked it down to entry height and drove it around in the parking lot with a very minor rub when the wheels were turned to the locks. It was rubbing on the vents at the front of the wheel well and it is very minor, but may be more noticeable with a more aggressive tread pattern and each tire, although the same size, may actually measure out differently. I was going to dremel off the plastic vents at the front of the wheel well, but after 5,000 miles is has not been a problem and I'll leave it alone. At normal driving height it does not rub. Moving to this tire size gives you lots of tire choices, especially in the AT category. Best of luck
