Hi there, new prospective owner here. Need a new vehicle for my wife, she's had a couple X5s in a row, but we drove the Discovery and really liked it. I think we're going to pull the trigger.
My question is whether we should go for a 2020 vs a 2019. Looks like I can get a pretty good deal on a '19, but if there are significant improvements in the '20 I'd go that route. I searched the forum first and didn't find anything on the topic. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Also, I plan to look in to this in more detail today, but any thoughts on the SE vs Landmark trims would be great. Probably won't go HSE.

Thanks in advance!
I drove both and agree the D-5 is a better vehicle. I would think hard about going away from the HSE. The air ride alone is worth the upgrade and the other "toys" they add with that package are worthwhile.
When I was considering my purchase (2017 vs. 2018)...If I was leasing I would have gone for a leftover, but on a purchase the little cost diff wasn't worth having a year old car off the lot.

My wife too went from an X5 to a D5, in her case an HSE Td6, and I concur: after a certain level of lux and comfort coming from a highly spec'd X5, I wouldn't skip the niceties of the HSE trim.
I think the difference from 2019->20 are minor but am not 100% sure.
Thanks again for the feedback. Ended up with a good deal on a 2019 HSE. Took the train up then drove it home from Newport Beach to San Diego yesterday, and now I want it for myself!! The surround sound system wasn't on my must have lists, but this one has it and it's amazing! Very excited. Look forward to more time on the forums.
Ended up getting the 2019 HSE, and just in time! Headed up to Lake Arrowhead for Thanskgiving and it dumped for two days straight. The Discovery was amazing, totally sure footed. Really excited to have it.
From the LandroverUSA website . . . I don't think HSE has 4 corner air.

When we looked you could pretty much add all the Lux options as extras to the HSE, but it actually ends up costing more. The air suspension comes when you order the 3rd row seats.
