Defender wheels on a disco 5
Hey guys,
I just joined the LAND ROVER Forum. I could use some advice. I own a 2017 DISCO 5 HSE with the Stock 21 inch wheel set up with 275/45/21 wheels are 9.5jx21 ET49. I found a good deal on a set of 5 OEM 20 inch wheels from a 2021 LAND ROVER DEFENDER. From my research I see that the LAND ROVER DEFENDER Wheel set up are 255/60/20 and the wheels are 8.5jx20 ET 41.5. Will the DEFENDER wheels fit my Disco 5?
Appreciate any help!
Thanks

I've been told by Sarek Autowerke... https://www.sarekautowerke.com/ ...that the stock Defender wheels do fit the Disco 5. Met them at RAW (Rovers at Wintergreen) last April.

A larger positive offset moves the wheel inward. Offset is in millimeters. This would reduce clearance between the wheel/tire and the suspension components. There’s not much wiggle room there.
A larger negative offset moves it outward. In this case you have to consider it touching the outer edge of the fender.
But the backside of the wheel has to clear brake calipers both the outer diameter of the caliper and the outer surface of the caliper. I installed Range Rover wheels on my D5 for winter tires recently and had to grind off a small amount on my rear caliper’s outer surface because it rubbed the inside face of the wheel. Wheel spacers could have fixed it but the thicker the spacers the less the lug nuts have threads to grip.
