Default Tire wear

This is a picture of our stock Eagle F-1 Goodyear (20K miles) Normal? Or is the tire telling us to take it easy on spirited cornering? Never seen this on a car tire before....

Btw: nominal tire pressure and no off-roading. Only see on front tires....

Looks like you were having fun!!
Almost looks like you took it to a track day😂
I think a 5000lb SUV can be hard on tires when you throw it around.
Perhaps those tires are a bit soft too. I noticed our Pirellis seem to wear pretty fast, don’t expect it will have enough thread by next winter. Probably 25k miles or less before we will need to replace them.

I have the eagles and 19k miles. Well worn but nothing like that...
But I find their grip and performance quite poor so will be replacing them with something else when the time comes

I have the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 tires. The ride nicely, and are quiet. But I believe from the amount of wear and miles driven so far, that they might last only 20K to 25K miles. They have a much longer tread life warranty so when they are shot I plan to replace them with something else. I used to run Nitto Terra Grapplers on my LR3. That's the older version and they were rugged and lasted about 45K miles but were a little noisy during their last 10K or so. My last set was the newest version of the Nitto Terra Grapplers called the G2. I only had them for a few thousand miles before I sold the LR3 but they sounded a little funky to me on dry pavement. Still, I might try them again on the D5 next.
The other option I might try is a Cooper tire because I can get them for dealer cost and that seems like a pretty good price. I've never tried Cooper's before.

Personally in my experience Coopers are cheap junk.
I wish BF Goodrich made their AT in our size, I had them on a Jeep and they were amazing. Great in snow and off-road, fairly quiet on road given their off road performance, lasted for like 60k miles and I never got a puncture either. Granted I doubt they were up to much in terms of handling.but I never tested that as I don’t drive an SUV that way.

I'm not sure but I think that Discount Tire's own brand, the Pathfinder tire, is now made by Hankook.
