I am so happy I found this forum. I have a 1996 Disco and I am fixing all of the little things that are going wrong and even the ones that are probably too difficult. Thanks in advance for any info that you guys give me. I'm sure I'll be asking alot. This has been my dream car for over 15 years.

Welcome 1eyescooter. I too have a 96 Discovery and dealing with the little probs as well.

discoveries are a blast to drive
they are very strong like tanks
The are very capable off road alot better than jeep and hummer
and u Have a common year.
however they only like premium gas other will do just not as good
and they require good treatment bascially just doing simple oil changes and refilling on certain parts
on a good note if kept in good condition they will run many many years
they are excellent trucks and once u bring her to life (off road) u
won't want anything else.

welcome.

I live in Myrtle Beach, SC. I seriously messed up a brand new Xterra after only having it for a few weeks when i decided to go fourwheeling. I ended up sinking it about up to the seats in a gumbo mud pit. Since then I am still a little scared. I think I love my truck too much to put it in that much of a sticky situation. But, NEVER say NEVER.
