After tremendous amounts of research looking for something that could closely match the off road abilities of my 08 wrangler rubicon but with better refinement and everyday driving characteristics I stumbled across the Lr3/Discovery 3. Reluctantly because of expensive repair bills and maintenance I purchased an 05 HSE with 103k miles and a rear locker for under 13k, seems pretty inexpensive for what is offered.

After a week of driving and about 1k miles so far I love it. I will be getting rid of the 19" wheels for some 18"ers and some more aggressive tires, maybe a trade ;-) .... and praying nothing to major breaks. I am looking forward to meet all of you and enduring some fun adventuring. Any advise for the new land rover owner?

 

Welcome to the land rover world. I have owned three jeeps in the past but love my 06 LR3 it has so many cool options and the wife likes it a lot better then the jeeps. I live in Florida also and cannot wait to get back form my deployment, so I can drive her again well enjoy your new ride.
