I recently acquired a 2002 Range Rover from a local car lot as an "as is" cash special. I took it to the only shop in my county that has the proper software to have an instrument panel programmed. After a couple of days I was told that the security system had immobilized the vehicle and that it would cost $300 plus to diagnose the problem. Fortunately for me they were super busy and never got around to starting on it. After a week of very poor communication I reclaimed my Range Rover yesterday. I was told repeatedly that I had a serious security problem and would never be able to use the vehicle unless I allowed them to make the needed repair. You have no idea how good it felt to walk out and use the EKA code I learned on a site like this to reset the alarm so I could start the vehicle and drive off happily. Other site could not accept my screen name so here I am hoping to learn all I need here to take care of my new toy.
