Welcome.
Two initial bits of advice:
Read your owners manual completely.
If you use Windows, or have a Windows emulator, download http://www.green-oval.com/data/lr/rave03.iso and burn it to a CD and run the "Rave" app. It will have the owners manual (in case you don't have one), the shop manual, and electrical trouble shooting manual. The shop manual has sections on how the major components function. It's good to have even if you don't do your own work as it will enable you to ask your mechanic intelligent questions. It also has a repair times section to give you an idea of how long repairs should take.
