Default Hello from Canada

I’m new here. I am/was the owner of a 2017 RangeRover sport. Unfortunately my SUV got stolen 3 weeks ago from my driveway at night.
Planning to get to a new one 2020. Almost signed everting but the salesman wanted me to sign a non-export agreement. I’m not very comfortable with that. I don’t intend to export it for sure. But what if my car gets stolen again. Also if I sell to someone and they export the car why should I be liable. Any suggestions.

Hello. Sorry to hear your SUV was stolen, that's terrible of someone to do that. Did they have a key or a signal relayer to gain access? Good luck with the new purchase. I, personally, haven't dealt with such an agreement, but I'm sure there are others that have and would have some advice. Maybe post the question in a different category on here.

I didn’t have to sign the agreement. Got my 2020 Sport. It’s awesome. . We had a break in at night and they were able to get a hold of my key which obviously most of us keep next to our entrance.
lesson learned- never keep your car keys or valuables by the entrance of your house.

Ah okay. You don't think about that unless it happens to you or someone you know. All of my keys are kept away from entrances to the house...but I'm not saying where, lol.
Congrats on the new Sport, that's fantastic! Glad to hear it worked out for you to get it. Enjoy!
