Default Hi there, from Phoenix, AZ.

Hi guys!! Hope all is well. I'm new to this site. What brought me here was I wanted to ask a few of you about your 2000 Land Rover Discovery 2.

Bottom line is, mine has 145,000 miles on it, I drove it out here to Phoenix last month and within the first week I noticed the engine coolant was not holding, then I looked at the oil and the oil was a light tan color.

Since finding this out, I have researched to find out I probably have a blown head gasket, maybe a cracked head and hopefully nothing worse than that.

My question is, at 145,000 miles do you think I should keep investing money into my 2000 Discovery 2 or is it time to let go of it?

Another question I have for you, what is typically the life span of a 2000 Discovery 2? I know it is all based on upkeep and how you take care of it but how long do you think these models typically can run for?

200,000-250,000 miles? What do you think?

I look forward to any and all replys.

Thank you.
Patrick
