Hey all,
I recently began talking to a gentleman who is a regular customer at my gas station about his Defender 90. Beautiful machine. I started looking around at them and my girlfriend confessed that she has been wanting one for quite some time. Well, I test drove a '99 Discovery the other day and I gotta tell ya, I am hooked.
Any quirks you guys and galsthink I should know about before I join the ranks? The one I drove definately had a new water pump, but that's nothing new to me. My last three cars have worn them out.

If you are hooked now wait till you have it for awhile, especially in the winter months if you live in the north or the mountains. The only thing to remember on the Land Rovers regardless of what year is keeping up with maintenance. The 99 model is a good one, as well as the '03 and '04. People here say the '04 is the best year. I have a '95 and an '01 and I like them both and they serve total different uses to me. Check it out completely and if you have questions go to the Discovery portion of the forum and you will learn a lot. Good Luck
