LR2 Newbie

LR2 Newbie
Newbie from Massachusetts.
I just put some money down on a 2009 LR2. I sure hope this car is trouble free for a while, I just had a bad experience with a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz that I have 2805 miles on it that I'm trading in. It was between the LR2 or the new 2010 Subaru Outback. Just out of a whim I decided to try out the LR2 and I even dragged along my wife who, like me, have heard only bad things about Land Rover. I think it was love at first sight for my wife. We pulled into the dealer's lot and there was a white LR2 all ready for a customer pickup, or was it the young, good looking salesman? Doesn't matter. After that the test drive was easy and she told me to buy one, so now I can say she forced me into buying one. I like the LR2 a lot but I am a little unsure about the reliabilty, the gas milage, and using high test gas.
I'll be checking out the posts, I'm sure there is plenty of good reading, well, there better be.

Dave,
I also bought a white LR2 2008 last June. It had 9000 miles but was never titled. The dealer used it as "demo" and they were making "room" for the '09 models. As you might know, the 08 and 09 are the same style, interiors etc. So far i've put in 3000 miles and it works 100% fine. For me and my wife it was love at first sight too. I have heard more good things about LR than bad, I guess every vehicle responds to the maintenance and how well you take care of your vehicle, they are machines. I will try to post some pics here soon. Anyways, I'm glad that you got your new ride. I've had mine for over 2 months and everytime I ride it I do it with such pride since there's no one like mine where I live. My advise is that you keep up with the maintenance and you should not have any problems. Enjoy!
