Hi All. New member joining the group. First fell in love with a 95 British Green LWB, about 18 years ago. I’ve been driving nothing but Land Rovers ever since. Currently own a 2010 LR4 HSE Lux.

Default LR4 timing chain

Thank you Harv. The '95 LWB was my buddy's, and I was hooked right away. I went on to own a '92 RR, a '97 Burgundy P38, an '03 L322, an '89 RR classic, an '06 L322, and now the 2010 LR4. I've never encountered any possible timing chain issues until this 2010. My mechanic is quoting me approx 9,700 bucks all in, but from what I know that seems really high. Any suggestions? Does anyone here on the forum have any insight as to what a reasonable cost should be? I know it varies by state and region but I still think that pricing is on the high end. Really appreciate it! Thanks

I don’t know anything about the LR 4 but $9700 sounds high. Try posting your issues in the LR section of this forum and hopefully someone who is up on them will help.
