Newbie - Has anyone used Liqui-Moly Mos 2 on a 2017 Disco Sport?
Hello all,
Has anyone used the “Liqui-Moly Mos 2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment” on a 2017 Disco Sport TD4?
and is it safe to do so? This is my first LR bought recently and is also my first diesel car, so would like to look after it from the beginning.
I read someone reviewed online saying it caused more problems after adding to the engine oil..
PS - As the title suggests, I’m newbie here and would highly appreciate if you could please be kind with your responses. Thanks.
TIA

Don't use LiquiMoly. I've read several tests of that product that showed no wear reduction upon engine teardown compared to only engine oil. The only moly additive I would use is Lubegard. If you do a few searches you will find a number of race engine shops that swear by it. I've used it for quite a few years in every vehicle I've owned. In the two vehicles that had oil temperature gauges, I noticed about a 3 degree oil temperature drop at steady highway speeds after about 1000 miles of operation after using Lubegard, all other variables being the same. If it's reducing internal friction enough to lower engine oil temperatures by a few degrees, it's clearly worth it IMO. It's available on Amazon.
