Default help// defender 90 300tdi

can someone please help me i have a 300tdi and i am having a lot of trouble with the front and back differential`s. i have not had the defender that long and have gone through two gearbox`s already . i have had a look for the differential ratios but they have been scrubbed off . so can someone please tell me what differential ratios i should use. many thanks richard.

Hell of a truck, if the ratios are mismatched then the drive train will wind up. The numbers are on the axles unless someone replaced the diffs with an american gas version. Send a pic of the truck must be canadian or south american, god love a defender diesel (vw powered)

ok the first thing you have to do is drive the truck to my house, park it in the garage, and give me the keys title and registration.

No but seriously what rinmud said.

Get one road wheel off the ground. Have someone rotate the wheel exactly one time while you lie underneath and count how many times your propshaft turns (easier to count of you mark it). That's your ratio. <propshaft_rotations>:<wheel_rotations&gt ;. Stock is 3.54:1
Repeat on the front.
