I'm 21. College student at Montana Sate University - Billings.

I played around with big American 4x4s, mostly old Chevy pickups, forever. My first car was a 1990 Suburban. I went through a few more trucks until I got this:

After the engine I built and the 4" lift I put on it, I was so fed up with how terrible the whole thing was comfort and off road ability wise, I knew I needed something else. I had always loved the way old safari Land Rovers looked, and a friend of mine had recently bought a newer Toyota pickup that he had made to look like a safari rig. I just loved that look. And I had always really liked Discos. So, after a dud or two, a friend of mine found me a 2001 DII in beautiful shape on CL. I bought it the next day, and I continue to fall more in love with it all the time. Here she is the first day home:

I was astounded the first time I wheeled with it. I knew this was the truck for me. They'll probably have to bury me in my Disco.

Here she is now:

This is with bigger tires, pre-lift. Soon to come is an OME 2" lift with SLS spacers at the back, a TJM bumper, roof rack, and snorkel. With much more to come later on.

I'll be 35 in Scorpio years... I'm not old, considering I have a 15 yr old daughter, a 14 yr old stepdaughter, and a 5 yr old boy.

30. I love cars of all sorts, but instantly fell in love with my Rover. I assume that I will own a few in my life.

Just turned 20. My disco is my 16th (yes, I said 16th vehicle) vehicle, but my first truck, before this I have owned strickly Fiats and Vw's, one G35 and a Mustang, neither of those lasted long though. I bought the disco, because my girlfriends parents bought her a piece of **** Mitsubishi, and I was terrified of what may happen to her in a car accident. I now demand that I drive her car in inclimate weather, and she is stuck in mine. I at least know that if she does get in an accident, she will be safe then. The only crappy part is, she wont drive it any other time, so I am stuck worrying about her constantly

Thats her in front of my most recent Fiat.

And thats the new Rover

I'm 38. My '98 Grand Prix GT finally racked up enough issues that sinking more money into it was stupid. At first I wanted a truck, but ended up wanting a Discovery, first, because they were the cheapest nice SUVs around. Then, the more I looked into them, the more I wanted one, even taking all the bad press into consideration. I ended up with a Disco with higher mileage than I'd hoped for, but a pretty solid service record. And now, only a couple of weeks in, I'm in LOVE... Keeping oil changed and fingers crossed...

32 here. Like Kayak74 I came from a 99 Grand Prix GTP which had 200k on it but was still running good until I lost it in the snow and totalled it out (my first accident so felt pretty stupid). Decided to replace with 4x4 that was not a truck. Looked at Grand Cherokees, Sequoias, Explorers and the such but I have always liked to looks of the Discovery so concentrated looking at them the most. Found one that was several thousand less than all others in the area and ended up being in the best physical shape so jumped all over it. Not my primary car and I consider myself above average when it comes to mechanics so working on it was not a problem. Had mine for a few weeks but pretty much just sitting as I just moved and I am in between houses so no garage unless I drive to my old house several hundred miles away. I got a friend I can use his garage to change out parts (SLS air bags, battery and front drive shaft so far) but still need to change fluids to get it all caught up since I dont know its history for the last several years

Well------My first car was a 1967 Morris Minor 1000 convertible that I purchased in 1969. I was 19 years old. The Morris Minor was a great car. I drove it everywhere. Previously, I had been driving my father's 1966 Volkswagen; and the Morris Minor was a better car than the VW.

I am trying to figure out what happened to the puddle lights and red warning lights on both rear doors of my 1993 Range Rover County LWB. The interior lights work. The door switches are working. The wires look OK. The windows work and the door locks work. The puddle lights do not work on both rear doors.

I'm 19.

Owning a BMW M3 as a daily driver in Vermont is making me buy a Rover.

I'll be going on my 13th? car shortly. I can't seem to keep anything longer than 3 months.
Started out with a 04' F-150 FX4 when I was 15. Transmission went and made me broke, then the engine went a week later. Traded it in for an 08' Escape when I was 16 and bought my 1st Subaru as a second car. Kinda gave the Escape to my mother. Has a 97' Outback as my 1st Subaru, then a 95, 00, 01, 03 Outback bought an E30 BMW somewhere in there. A 02 Outback sport, and lastly a 04' WRX (Subarus were a side income). Traded the WRX for a stage 3 S4 which I miss. Traded it for my current M3 which I'll be trading in towards an 03' Disco in the next week.

EDIT: There was a Porsche 996 C4 in the mix someplace. Second edit, I had a KJ Jeep two summers ago.
