That's been done already, the trick will be getting the D2 to simulate a over heat. The steam pouring out of the hood is tricky.

Nice work! You did a fantastic job on the D90, I can't wait to see the D2.

D90 kit is from RC4wd. Disco body is from Kamtec in the UK. Technically a D1, but I am going to try and make it look like my 04 D2

Yep. It's already leaking oil...from the crappy stock shocks, so I guess that will be my next upgrade.

Finished building the front bumper. I think it turned out pretty good.

I looked at the cost of the 1:10 110 kit.

Made me giggle, it cost 1:10 of what I spent on my DII.

Cool build.

I cant believe how much these little rc toys cost. The 1/12 Scale Earth Digger 4200XL Hydraulic Excavator cost $3,000 plus $450 for shipping and even then you have to buy additional parts. Hell with that. For that price you can get a new SD roof rack and HD lift kit and 5 new mud terrain tires and still have enough money left to fill up your tank. I could never justify spending that much on a toy. I understand that they are highly detailed and function but they are not practical. Most of us have enough to worry about keeping our real trucks up to spec. To each their own I guess.

I have a 1:18 Traxxis, like to find a 1:24 Disco or 110, and rebody it. I can rationalize the %75 I spent on it, Maybe its an Axial Krawler, that sounds more correct. Cool little buggy, bought for winter wheeling in my yard, and then haven't played with it in the year it's gathered dust, lol.. Now I have a 1:1 scale project.
