Offroad, sadly, Slabbie sold his Rover and bought a Nissan X-terra..
I'm sure he's on one of his many travels somewhere doing something adventurous Hey, are you planning on visiting the States? Haven't heard much about your world tour lately..

Yep, hope to visit the US, Texas, in October but as for world trekking, hmmm, I reckon I've done all the globe trotting I'm likely to do at my tender age and I like 4* luxury now and not roughing it. The other problem is we, us, are not too welcome in many parts of the world as you may have seen in the press recently. Problem also is in France there is everything from beaches to mountains within a days drive so no need to go too far these days. I can, by road, be in northern Spain in 3 hours, Italy in 6 hours, Switzerland in 8 hours, Austria in 9 hours and Germany in 8 hours or even the UK in 12 hours so my choices are endless. I rarely fly anywhere these days because I spent half my working life in airport departure lounges and they are soooooo boring.

Pity about Slabby, quite enjoyed his inputs. Hope he's trekking around and enjoying life.

I know what you mean, I enjoyed Slabrat's banter and wit I've also been wondering about Screaminglife and Rickety Tick. RT hasn't been on here for days and SL has been out of touch for centuries or so it seems. I had him on my mind when there was some trouble with a military helicopter exercise in Hawaii - I do hope he's ok.
October is coming up Offroad! Have you dusted off your Stetson and worked on your drawl? I'm sure you'll have a good time, especially if dusty and offroading is involved

This is one of the acts appearing locally for FREE tonight and tomorrow night at St Martial de Mirambeau.
Tom Principato en concert à St Martial de Mirambeau
It's all very local and perochial as you can see ........................ bit of a 'one dog' event but very good jazz every year so far and doesn't cost a cent.
