Series will not shut off with ignition key. I had a new switch so I put it in and have the same problem. There was a lose wire on the coil and after messing with it shut off for a while but then problem again. Everytime I fool with the wires on coil it shuts off with the key for a short time and then goes back to origional problem. It has been updated to electronic ignition. Any ideas???

 

What year 2a? What engine?

 

1961 2A 2.25 electronic ignition.

 

When changing to electronic ignition - can I use the same ignition coil or do I need to upgrade to the kind that requires a ballast resister?

 

i have a burnham series 2 gas boiler that wont shut off the limit is set at 140 and supply and return water is 130 degrees but temp gauge reads 230 degrees all rad. are hot and blead for air cir pump is running cant firgue it out thanks..........
