I have two ZF 4HP22 transmissions with their torque convertors take from 2000 DII's for sale. Mileage on one is 113K and 126K on the other. These are the last two DII transmissions I have on hand. I'd like to move these before winter.

Along with the two transmissions I have their matching transfer cases. Both have the CDL nipple. You can convert your later DII to have a locking center differential with either one of these LT230's. As above, mileage is 113K and 126K. To help keep shipping charges low, I ship these without the transmission brake drum assembly. You can easily reuse yours.

Can be install on a 2003 discovery

 

You would need to double check with Paul but I want to say the 2003 uses the 4hp24 to deal with the "power" of the 4.6

 

Both could be used on an '03. Certainly, the transfer case would be an upgrade enabling you to take advantage of the center locking differential for increased traction. That's something you couldn't do with the transfer case that originally came in your '03. Now, as far as the transmission is concerned, you could use an earlier 4HP22 transmission in your '03 but it would be a step backwards. From the factory the '03 and '04 came with the ZF 4HP24 transmission. It was a better match for the more powerful 4.6L engine.
