Default Pippa 3.9 to 4.6 transplant

OK-
When I do something, I tend to go "all the way" (within reason). At the shop I take Pippa to, there was a 94 Disco with a 4.6l with 40k miles on it available for the low low price of $1k. I drove it. Pulled very strong. Shifted smooth. Has a distributor on it already. Electronics are flaky. I didn't sleep last night. Then I said f*#k it.

This is what I've done so far:
-Borg Warner transfer case swapped with a LT-230 with CDL
-Steering box replaced
-Transmission filter replaced
-New distributor and timing set to factory specs
-New front driveshaft replaced
-AND the sunroof closed (it opened, but I never checked to see if it would close)

My 3.9l is so, SO tired with 205k miles. The tranny is even worse.

So what started as a $4500 drive-it-til-it-dies fun 4x4 has turned into all the above PLUS a new(er) engine and serviced tranny. It is what it is. The heart wants what it wants...

But damn she's sexy...

Love it. I'm a fan. Rovers tend to be a black hole.

Default Engine Work

So I got the title today for the donor vehicle. The body is in such good shape. It’s a shame this thing won’t be driven. For less than 1/4 of what my total investment in Pippa will be, the electronics on this could be sorted and you would have a cool off-roader.

Question: are there any interior parts that I could swap over from the Disco to the RRC? I’m specifically eyeing the console. Although it looks a little different, it looks like it could bolt right into Pippa. What about the seats?

With the title, I got an invoice for the engine work that was done in ‘08 by a shop in Colorado Springs. $7k in engine work alone 9 years ago. I think everything is going to be ok. Deep breaths...

Any suggestions from the peanut galley on what to do with a ‘94 Disco with no engine or tranny? Everything else would be intact. I would love to swap the manual seats & center console over, but they don’t fit the ‘Classic (according to my internet seatches). Any ideas??

Basically 3 choices

Sell the rolling chassis

Part it out, folks look for the manual seats if they are in good shape

Scrap yard.

If you're lucky it would be that good.

That’s some engineering right there! That’s a bad-*** trailer. Is there a sleeping platform inside? Cool classic too. Can you see over that tire on the hood?

I remember looking at a Disco in a car dealership in Colorado Springs in ‘98. Something like $35-$37k. I ended up with a Pathfinder instead due to cost & poor LR customer service. Now I’m considering throwing one away. Blows my mind.
