Hello all,

My parents are needing to get a new family vehicle, and one of the cars that they are interested in is a Range Rover. Now chances are they would be looking at early to mid 2000s model, and so I wanted to gather some information for them.

My father and I are big DIYs when it comes to vehicle maintenance, so we were first wondering what these cars were like to maintain, would anyone here have any insights into that? Our current collection of cars includes a Ford Excursion, Mercedes E420, so working with large cars and European cars doesn't intimidate us, but that said, we don't necessarily want to bite off more than we can chew.

So overall, we were wondering what they are like to work on and what their reliability is like.
