I just purchased a 2011 rr supercharged truck runs great and no problems UNTIL it rains. this is the second battery I purchased to get it started. when its dry its fine but when it rains the dash goes crazy and then soon after everything goes black and then cuts off . I was asking for or did anyone else have a similar problem and what advice do they have before I go to the dealer and give them my arms and legs

 

I have no idea but DO NOT take it to the dealer.

You most likely have water intrusion. Not as familiar with the 2011 but common points for the lr3 is the cowl, and sunroof drains.

After it rains pull the battery and look behind it for water collecting by the TCM

very true I know too well! Had a brand new 2002 Double cab. every time it rained the engine would cut out then come back on then cut out. It was under warranty so back and forth to the dealer until the warranty ran out. The problem was the immobilizer was under the front vents and land rover seals are well, just crap. so rain dripped on it and shut the engine off. You definitely need to look for water intrusion.

 

thxs I just found a rr mechanic a county over I will call him tomorrow to see. hope its an common problem so I wont get over charged
