P440e AWD AUTOMATIC PHEV
The 2023 P440e PHEV order I placed about 5 months ago, will likely be a 2024 as no 2023 will be built. I am ok with waiting for the 24 model, however the only way you can get a plug in in 2024 is to order an Autobiography model which ads $40k to the price of the one I ordered. That is a very deceptive maneuver by Land Rover in my opinion, but their attitude is "a take it or leave it" one.
Their attitude might work in the short term with such high demand for their products, but will end up costing Land Rover long term loyal customers.
I am not putting any blame on my dealer who said they were totally surprised by the action taken by Land Rover. I build the specs I wanted on Land Rover's website and the dealer promptly submitted my order to LR but that is of no concern to LR. What a sad way to do business....I hope someone at LR is reading this. This is not a fair practice and LR should honor their customer's orders, otherwise, what is the point of ordering one to your specs.

I bulit a normal V8 and an autobio, they came out to same price with very similar options. So not sure it is such a bad thing, unless I am misunderstanding. The issue my dealer is saying is that LR is not prioritizing building any hybrid motors, since they are easily selling every petrol engine. They see no need to put any focus on the electric or hybrid models. So not sure what this means if I order the autobiography.

Best is to get with your dealer to see what can be gotten from LR. LR could not care less about any customer's build on their website even if dealer submits customer's build specs. I think the build section of LR's website is just for people to see what they can get and the price. The final say is at LR's discretion.

Correct, I don't think my dealer truly knows. If I do order will go in and discuss options that I can really expect to come with car or ones that may get deleted by LR due to part issues (like 3d stereo, cooled seats, etc)[/QUOTE]
Yes, that is the sad truth for the dealers. They are stuck in the middle between a rock and a hard place. It is very though being a Land Rover dealer nowadays. In the final analysis, LR needs to get their act together or they will start to slowly bleed loyal customers. I have had my order since January and my dealer has no clue what is going on. They submit customers' orders and LR does nothing. I just don't get it!
I am a patient loyal LR customer, but patience has limits, and I am considering jumping ships if I do not hear something in the next 2 to 3 months.

It's been a LONG wait for me for the P440e PHEV. I put a deposit and selected my specs in February 2022 being #1 on my dealership's list. It was finally built about a month ago and expected delivery is September 2023 so nearly a 19 month wait..not to mention some of the selections I wanted were unavailable due to alleged shortages. I also heard 2024 allocations are already spoken for. Very frustrating indeed.

Options I wanted that weren't available:
- Pixel headlights
- Upgraded sound system
- Gloss black 1073 wheels (I had to go with style 7023 Diamond Turned with black contrast)
- Natural Black Birch (I had to go with Walnut)

The car I'm getting is about $3K more than what I initially ordered due to price increases and the fact I needed to order a full size spare because of alleged shortages of the reduced spare.
