Keys in locked P38
Hi,
A local mechanic asks me for help. He replaced the battery of a P38 (1996 4.0, good condition) with both keys in the car. Of course, the car locked itself. The bonnet / hood is still open. He admitted, ashamed, that the owner had specifically warned him not to close the doors, to leave a window open, keep the key in his pocket. He has contacted several Landrover dealers here in France, but they categorically refuse to work on P38s (I myself have owned P38s for over 20 years and have had to do the servicing/repair myself for the last 10 years. I occasionally check this forum for advice).
Can anyone help ?
