Are you going to put a new joint in the rear that doesn’t have a zerk? If so get one with a zerk.

The rear shaft and un-serviceable U-Joint is working fine at the moment. I assume it is factory original though and should be changed out at some point and then yes, I'll put another Precision 344 in there.

Front brakes, wheel speed sensor, HVAC, and drivers seat control module to work on first.

Nice to find out that the P38 takes the same pads and rotors as does the D2!!

Kent Green if I'm not mistaken

Got a random P1314 and noted worse than usual fuel economy so did some surfing the forum and decided to start off with the easy stuff... cleaned the MAF and replaced the spark plugs... The 8mm STI wires look pretty good, no failed boots... the Bosch Platinum plugs had the center electrode worn flat to the ceramic, they were mostly just old looking not fouled or gunky. In with a new set of NGK BPR5ES...

Seems to run smoother, we'll see if that code comes back. It popped up maybe 6 months ago and I cleared it then and did nothing, this is the first it's been back. Hope to have solved it but I see where there could be other causes like a Fuel injector O ring leaking or an intermittent failing O2 sensor.

Will probably have to add those to the list...

Spark plugs way easier without any SAI BS on the heads.

not a huge fan of the bosch plugs in these. NGK or Champion simple motor simple plugs.

Without SAI is sooo much better. With is hateful

I installed a stock radio from a d2 into the p38 and only had to but an antenna adapter. Even the steering wheel controls still work!
the radio overhangs down a bit but doesn’t really affect anything, plus it was free.

I started having problems with the ignition barrel, it kept thinking the key was in when it wasn’t.
I sprayed electrical contact cleaner inside and than immediately blasted it with compressed air.
Nice cheap fix
My dads been driving it mostly and he’s averaging 17.7 mpg. That’s way better than my disco. Lol

This piece of weather stripping fell out of the sunroof today. Anyone have a clue where it’s from or more importantly how to put it back in?

Took it in to the friendly indy shop and had them scan all of the systems with their computer, very handy information for the most part, identifying exactly which parts of the hvac are at fault, finding no faults with the O2's or the injectors. The one big red flag is they said the ABS system would not communicate. It has an intermittent ABS light but I attributed that to the wheel sensor on the axle that leaks which I haven't fixed yet. They didn't think so. Thought it was probably an issue with the WABCO unit itself. Having read all about the ABS module issues on the D2 I'm wondering if there is a similar "fix" to the option B that works on the P38 system... Anyone heard of this? Insights welcome and thanked!!

Bought a set of mufflers from Lucky 8, great deal, will install them soon as I believe it still has the OG mufflers... Hoping to see a little gain in efficiency there.
