Possible sensor harness
Hi all,
New member here. I am fairly mechanical (I restore old motorcycles) but have not messed much with my 2014 RRS, so please forgive my ignorance. My main battery died and I replaced it myself. However, I noticed a wiring harness with coupling on the right side of the wheel well which doesn't appear to have a home. I disconnected and reconnected the sensor on the negative terminal, but I cannot see an equivalent female to attach the right-sided harness to and do not believe it was hooked to anything before I removed the battery. It consists of only 2 wires, a black/white and a brown/white. Is it ok to leave this disconnected? Is it there for an accessory I do not own or is it essential to connect it to someplace I haven't found ? The car runs fine. The only electrical side effect of changing the battery is that I appear to have lost the fully-up function of my window switch (I need to keep lifting the switch to completely close the windows).
I'd appreciate any wisdom from you experts and thank you in anticipation.
Paul.
