Hows it going everyone? I just started renting a new house and low and behold in the garage i find not 1, but 2 land rover wheels. As i do not own a land rover, i have nooo use for these things except to maybe make a couple bucks, or a coffee table... and i don't drink coffe. So up for grabs are these wheels the main one wrapped in a falcon ziex p275 45r20, and the spare is a continental. Im not sure of the drive ability of the tires, but there is a very good amount of tread and no obvious nails, holes, or other wise hazardous signs of wear. Wheels are in great shape, with little to no rash. Im on several motorcycle forums and enjoy the communities and knowing im helping to get someone back on the road. so you are selling wheels that don't belong to you?

 

Two ways to look at it: the wheels could be considered outright abandoned if left by the previous tenant (at least under Alabama law), or the wheels could be considered owned by the lessor (owner) you are renting from if they were left by a previous tenant. I would recommend asking the property owner if he knows who they belong to, or would like them for himself. And just to be safe you may want to take out an ad in your local news outlet advertising the found property and ask them to identify it. Most papers will run such an ad free of charge in the classified section. You will become the owner after the ad runs for a specified amount of time (depends on your jurisdiction). Otherwise you could be liable for conversion if you sell them and the previous owner comes back looking for the wheels--as far fetched as that scenario may be, it happens.
