Unless you've got a fully documented full engine rebuild then I'd say your price is way high. Full rebuild meaning all Engine bearings, turned crank ,new cam/lifters, head job etc etc. That and a fully documented maintenance on the rest of the truck.

220k is at the end of most Rover V8's life. 4K is top money for an early D2. If that were common price range low mileage ones would be way way more expensive. At 4K your almost at the 04 price range with the better ABS system and CDL and the bigger 4.6. For another 1000 or 2 you can pick up an Early L322. In my worthless opinion that's a 1500 dollar truck. No more. With out all of the above its a time bomb. Not to mention the very good chance for rust in your area. But that's just me. Of course you could get someone who doesn't know any better to pay that. Meaning no offense.

I have checked for discos in my area private part and dealerships. this is priced below those.

 

220k miles kills the value. The new parts you list don't really add value, either, since it's mostly just replacing small parts that wore out.

I'm not sure where you live, but in my area it would be a $1600 car in good, clean condition.

Take off another $300-400 for that smashed up, green bumper you've got on it. At least paint that thing flat black or something.

 

thx all, I will talk it over with the wife. may use it as a project car while I go to autotech school. do a engine rebuild and mods. Gonna give a couple weeks on the lot to see if we can get an okay price for it.
