2003 Land Rover Discovery II SE7 – 118,000 miles, CDL, OME Lift
Bonatti Grey with Black leather interior – has all the usual SE7 features such as 3rd row seats with Air & Audio, 2 X sunroofs, Cold Climate package (heatedseats / windshield), Harman Kardon Audio with 6 disc changer
Life style changes strongly suggest the disposition of my Disco II. This is a VERY clean, 2 owner (mine since about 5,500 miles) DII with ALL service records since my acquisition (and since I bought it with so few miles I would bet the only service record that may be missing is the initial oil change record). This was my wife’s car until I bought her a new ride after which I added a few features thinking it was going to Colorado…but plans change.
The VIN is NOT in the oil pump failure range
The head gaskets have been replaced within the past year (City Side Garage)
2 complete sets of wheels and tires - Original Hurricane 18” wheels with street/all-season tires plus a full set (5) of 16” DII wheels with Dunlop M/T Maxx Traction tires
Center Differential Lock (City Side Garage)
OME 2 inch lift (City Side Garage)
16” DII wheels with Dunlop M/T Maxx Traction tires
Tom Woods Front Drive Shaft
New TerraFirma Rotors with Akebono pads
Fender flares removed
Never been smoked in
Did I say: COMPLETE SERVICE RECORDS?
This is a fully serviced – drive it anywhere vehicle - I would sell it to my mother! I will happily let any LR specialist look at this prior to sale.
It does have 118,000 miles on it so there are some cosmetic wear and tear items but the major flaws are:
1. Front bumper slightly (~1/2 inch) askew from a light parking lot impact. I would not do anything (and didn’t) other than replace it with a winch mount bumper at some time.
2. Back pocket of driver’s seat has been the object of my dog’s desire seeking something that my kids left in there. Don’t have any suggestions other than put black tape over it and live with it (this is probably the biggest cosmetic flaw).
3. When I had the CDL installed, the hill descent was deactivated while the center differential is locked - this can be reactivated if you were to so choose.
4. Rear bumper step needs a new gas piston or remove the step
5. Slight rust bubble (size of a US quarter $) on the left rear door window frame
6. Driver’s seat does not get hot
7. It has the infamous LR engine tick that comes and goes but it just keeps on running.
8. New scratch on lr quarter panel that will probably mostly rub out but I'm sure that it will not completely go away
Other than the above EVERYTHING WORKS

for the little i understand on the CDL retrofit, it's just one lever and a cable. how does that disables the hill descent?
i have no idea how the hill descent works...
and my trip near boston may not happen, so i'm still curious to understand, but probably will not be a buyer soon
unless you're driving to L.A. anytime soon

2/3rds correct - lever, cable, AND SWITCH which illuimates the 4X4 light on the dash and can be also be wired to disable the traction control. Hill descent is just a feature derived from the ABS system that will pluse the brakes when you reach a certin speed. Traction control is another ABS derived feature that will pulse a single wheel that is spinning faster than the others.

The truck now has 118,000 on it and I am seriously going to move this. I have a '75 SIII Lightweight that I have decided to put all of my attention and $$$ to and as my wife says: "you can only drive one at a time, so why two?" She is right...this time!
Make me a reasonable offer and its yours as the stealer will give me next to nothing for it. Truck is in great condition and will make someone very happy.
