I thought 2011/2012 was the final update

Last version made for LR yes, but other car brands like Subaru, GM, etc. use same Core 1 navigation. This road data combined with LR Firmware works !
In Europe same situation LR , RR,RRS Disco3 2004-2009 work on a 2014-2015 version W European map.

FYI- I took the plunge and bought one. I'll give it a review once I receive it.

I typed in an address for a place that opened up in the last 5 months and it didnt show, but I noticed that a street that was renamed a year ago now shows the new name. So my estimate is that it is up to date as of 6-12 months ago.

Seller is a nice guy and got my order out instantly.

That is correct Abran, the data files and maps are about a year old!

Does the new disc cover the entire US? An aside. I drove in yo Mexico last week. The map abruptly ended as I left the US and entered Mexico. A bit surreal. Thanks. Phil

This is how it is schematically displayed (on my test kenwood system, looks similar on the LR ) when you select an area. It Includes most Canada Regions except Alaska and NW Territories .It does show roads to AK YT and NT, but no adress book !

But No Mexico !

Here's a silly question... would there be something similar for the Jeep Grand Cherokee Nav system for a 2007 Jeep? They opted out of updates with the very last being 2011.

The reason I ask is that you mention that other brands use the "same Core 1 Navigation".

If You can share the file info on the dvd and label of DVD you have now running on your system , I could check if this would be the same and possibly be made to work too !

Got my new Nav Disc today and it updated the firmware (previously had 07-08 Nav Disc in my LR3) on my 06 LR3 HSE perfectly. Works great with absolutely no issues at all!

Purchased this for my 08 RRS. Received the DVD promptly and I installed it immediately. Just popped it in and it loaded with no effort on my part. It works beautifully! It even pulled up previous destinations and has yet to give me one error. Buy with confidence!

dijkvr's USA/CAN disk works perfectly in my 2008 RRS! Got the new local POI's built only a year or two ago!!!
Yes, I'll still use my trusty Android TomTom as the main nav but those old maps on the inbuilt LR nav were eating my lunch! Shame on LR for dropping support so soon!
