96 Discovery 1 SD - $2,500
Is this a fair price for one that is TX (lives here last 20 years) inspected and insured, runs, drives, has cold AC with little if any rust? Thanks...

Don’t believe so.
To be candid, don’t know - our first Rover. It appears bone stock other than prior owner explained that he swapped motor from a low mileage SE donor he acquired over a year ago.
He was an 81 year old retired engineer enthusiast. We drove it home almost 100 miles and only issue was intermittent steering wheel shake at about 60-65 MOH. We scanned it and only codes were both upstream 02 sensors had issues.
He also gave us GEMS and RAVE resources, other service and maintenance documentation and a crate of extra parts: ECUs, master cylinder, couple of fuel sending units, headlights, cabling harnesses, hoses, manifold, canisters, mud flaps, plug wires, etc.
He also explained that he upgraded the security (chip) to Discovery 2 because he was having issues with the immobilizer.
We bought it on a whim because it looks really great and liked the thought of owning a Land Rover. The dash and panels underneath the upper rear windows look sunburned. No seat tears.
For clarification, we intend to sell it at this price.
Thanks...

For a vintage Land Rover with body in very good condition that runs, drives, and has AC, it seemed like a no-brainer. According to CarFax, it’s lived in Central Texas for the last 20 years.
Took early this AM. I’ll take a couple later this afternoon after work...
He also gave us a trunk and tub full of extra parts: computers, harnesses, hoses, cables, mud flaps, headlights, airbag, etc.
Thanks...
