I have the steering wheel off of my 2004 D2 with 80k miles. Bought a recovered one from the UK and then refinished this one after the swap. Looks pretty good in my opinion. There are some slight dents or marks in the leather that I didn’t want to sand out. Coloring dye looks surprisingly good (much better than before I refinished it) and has 5 coats of matte clear coat made specifically for leather steering wheels and has a good UV protectant in it.
