Default FS: 2006 LR3 with HD package, 118,000 miles

Hi. Testing the waters here a bit as we are considering selling our 2006 LR3 to get a newer LR4. I am the 3rd owner and bought it from Hornburg Land Rover in Santa Monica and had it shipped to me in Chico, CA which is where it's currently located. It's an HSE with HD package and 118,000 miles. I'm working on pictures but the color is Bonatti Gray. The LR3 started off as my daily driver but then my wife loved it so much she took it over. It has served us well and we are now in a position to get a newer LR4. No accidents. There is a crack in the dash by passenger airbag. Asking $10,000

Here is a list of maintenance performed by past owners that I pulled from the Carfax when I purchased it...
Owner 1 was a personal lease
7/24/2006 7,500 mile service
3/19/2007 15,000 mile service
1/31/2008 unspecified maintenance at 26,000
5/2/2008 30,000 mile service
11/6/2008 35,000 miles oil change
1/14/2009 37,000 miles Brake fluid flush/change, power steering fluid flush/change
1/26/2009 37,000 miles sold as a Land Rover Select Certified Pre-Owned vehicle

Owner 2:
9/14/2009 41,000 miles 45,000 mile service
9/3/2010 48,000 miles drive axle serviced, oil change
3/5/2011 51,505 miles lower control arm bushings replaced
11/17/2011 55,145 miles 60,000 mile service, front window regulators replaced, differential seals replaced
*Carfax isn't showing any service between 55,000 miles and the 78,000 when I purchased it but I called Hornburg service department and had them check the VIN and it was serviced there during that time

Owner 3 (me, I purchased it from Hornburg Land Rover in Jan 2016):
3/24/2016 81,402 miles transmission fluid change, front & rear diff fluid change, transfer case fluid change
7/7/2016 84,294 mile oil change, brake fluid flush/change
11/30/2016 88,384 miles replaced rear brake pads and rotors
4/19/2017 92,894 miles oil change
7/7/2017 94,890 miles replaced front wheel hub/bearing
7/18/2017 94,989 miles blower motor resistor replaces, A/C system recharged
8/10/2017 95,783 miles replaced left/right inner tie rod ends
10/16/2017 97,559 miles replaced both front lower control arms
2/14/2018 100,581 miles oil change, replaced hood struts, replace crankcase vent valve
4/1/2018 101,956 miles replaced alternator
10/2/2018 new Interstate AGM battery
11/19/2018 107,233 miles oil change, performed suspension height calibration
2/14/2019 110,017 miles replaced drive belt
3/7/2019 111,000 miles replaced sunroof drain tubes
7/17/2019 113,158 miles oil change
2/5/2020 120,500 miles oil change and replaced rear latch/release button

Message me if interested.
Thanks,
Dan

+1 on this. This one seems to have been very well taken care of. I do love the updated looks of the LR4 and I'm sure the upgraded tech would be nice, but you would hate to get an LR4 that ends up having some expensive items needing to be replaced. I have seen several places that the 4.4 L V8 in the LR3's is considered to be a more reliable engine than the 5.0 L V8 in the LR4's. Just opinions for sure, but something to take into account.

Hi all. I'm going to try and revitalize this post. I purchased a 2015 LR4 with 50,000 miles on it as a replacement. So, while I'd love to keep both the LR3 need a new home.

I would keep it and save your money. The LR4 can have some serious engine problems and not all of them are equipped with two speed transfer cases.

My 2005 LR3 has 298k miles on the original engine and transmission.

I was definitely eyeing the new five in diesel but it's going to be a few years before I'm able to get one. For now the 2015 LR4 we got as a replacement is pretty darn awesome.

The LR3 is still for sale if anyone is interested
