ISO: Time-sert or NS300L kits
I need to place an insert for repair of head bolt threads on JLR 5.0.
The kits run around $400, mostly for the non consumable parts. I'm just curious if anyone out there has one of these 2 kits that they would be willing to rent or lend. I can get the inserts, but the drill bits and guides/jigs could be shared.

-The modified tap is just the tap size you need(I don’t know the thread pitch at this time) with a socket pressed over it, bare in mind, the socket has to fit the bore of the thread to be repaired.
-The jig set up to align the ‘sert was a used head bolt grinded round and grinded a slit down the center just enough to hold and fit the slot.
Give me till Monday to post pics

Very nice set up. I think I like the sound of an insert a bit more than a coil so I still may go with the NS300L kit. Thanks for sharing what worked for you!
