Default Parting out a '99 Discovery series II drivetrain

107k miles, engine runs beautiful(can hear run), transmission is shot(won't move/leaking badly), complete running gear available including wheels. Open to reasonable offers. Sorry, no body or interior parts available. Located 1 hour north of Minneapolis.

thank you,
Shane

You should pull the transmission and fix it.
You can get a rebuild kit for the 4HP22 and fix it.
If you pull the transmission - you could take it to a BMW shop who rebuilds transmissions and they probably do Rover too.

Default Parting out '99 Discovery

Thanks for response guys. My discovery is going in a slightly different direction. My front drive shaft did not break and take out my tranny, but the shaft has been sold. I wish I would have asked for a core (only need axle end) as I'm now considering turning the rolling Disco frame into another interesting off-road project/just located a fiberglass dune buggy body... As for my '99 Discovery body, it will be replacing a heavy, rusty, mangled K5 body, sitting on 40" Gumbos with a 400hp small block. Would like to sell the Discovery motor before I remove the body in the next week, as it can still be tested.

I'd let it go for $750, can still run and test.
