Going to be in the Palm Springs area from June 27 to July 27 and was wondering if anyone could recommend areas to off road or people that may want to go? I would travel to your area or favorite spots all over CA. Let me know if you have any recommendations. Thanks.

 

We need a dedicated Southern California group. I spend last weekend out near Calico. Mildly interesting. Some great mine shafts if you like exploring underground. Blair Valley is a cool place and the trail going through "the squeeze" is a fun run but that is a few hours south of PS. Palm Spring in July? I would head up into the Idyllwild area, look up the Black Mountain truck trail. Easy route, Make sure you travel all the way to the end and hike the last 1/4 mile.
