Yeah if you look under my truck right now you'll see the whole bottom end soaked wet with oil. I've a got a small timing cover leak that I've been waiting to address for a while but I always check my fluids and keep changing my oil.

I've also got a weeping HG that I am carefully watching over. Obviously that is a little more serious but I will get to it when I get to it.

I guy I work with is a HUGE Chevy guy, he has a 2003 Silverado with 128,000 miles, the transmission is going out, his heated mirrors overheated and burned the glass so the mirrors are useless and he had to replace a bent valve last year.

Yeah the Ford have issues with the pluming on the intake that fails and ultimate self-destruction.

Yeah, I own a few Chrysler products (one that has Benz components) and understand the issues that occur IF you do not use the approved fluids. For example the transmissions, if you do not perform the right interval service and do not use the correct ATF, the transmission WILL fail. Also, their HOAT coolant is a joke....

Yeah, I the new 8sp transmission do have a bunch of gears, but it does work well. I drove the new 200 and I was impressed, nice car. It shifts smoothly and gets up pretty quick. I am yet to drive the new 300 SRT8...drool.

Yeah...Yeah...Yeah...

A little over 100,000 miles is the norm. Mine lasted until 160,000 and I really haven't had heard of anybodys going longer than that.
