Hmmm...Is it too much to carry a KelTec 9mm inside the boot and a XD9 with 16 round mag in a holster and 2 spare mags in the small of back....not that we have any crime, but why wait till a crime to prepare. The time for preparation is over when you are faced with the choice/incident.

I'd keep a shotgun by the door, but I have kids.

 

How do you like the Ultra Gauge EM?

 

I like it, I like it alot.
I have noticed that it takes longer for the truck to go into closed loop in the colder morning, almost no time at all in the warm/hot afternoons.
I have also noticed that my truck seems to reach about 150*F when warming up in the morning (just idling in the driveway and defrosting/defogging the windows) and just sits there, does not seem to get any warmer until I drive it, but then again I have only let it warm up for about 10 min so far, this winter it will be a longer warm up time so we will see.
The t-stat does not actually open until I hit the expressway (about 3 miles to the e-way)then the temp spikes around 201*F and then drops to the low 190's, then climbs and spikes in the high 190's and then once all of the coolant is warmed up it settles to 195.8*F and stays there the rest of the way to work.
After coming home I have let it idle for 10 mins and it actually started to cool off.
A/C on or off makes no difference, it still runs at 195.8.
I have a 195*F t-stat.
It says my average MPG for the 427 miles that I have had it is in the low 13's.
My math (miles dived by gals) says mid to high 14's.
So do I like it? Yes, yes I do.

 

Man I love my ruger 10/22. Sleep with a 12 gauge under the bed. I live in Texas so I get to drive with a 40cal under my seat. And have a Texas edition ruger .380 but man do I love that 10/22 you can shot that thing all day for 20 bucks.

Where did you get the Ultra Scan at Spike?

 

The 10/22 is the BEST!!!! When I was a kid I used to go through a brick of ammo every Sat at my grandparents house, I would save my lawnmowing money and buy them when they went on sale, $10 for 500 rounds, I'd buy it by the case.
I liked Federal and Remington, back then with my Tasco scope I could shoot a wooden kitchen match in half from 50yds while laying down.
My uncle could light them.
One summer afternoon I played Marine Sniper and took out a whole family of chipmunks in the back yard.
I laid under the tree with my scope trained on the hole, one would pop up and I would squeeze off a round and the bullet would pull him out of the hole.
That was fun, now I cant sit though a 30 sec tv commercial. lol
