Just watched a few vids of Mabell road. It looks sick. Definitely have to put something together for that. Maybe a day trip or something this spring

I checked out a few videos on you tube, looks like some awesome stuff. Id be down for a day trip to two. Anyone familiar with the area?

MaBell is a cool trail, though with a capable truck it can be done in less than an hour. It is closed right before the big mud/water hole you'll run into... at that point you turn around and run it backwards.

It's probably been twelve or more years since I ran MaBall. I remember the water hole swallowing up trucks if they went to far to one side. I also remember a lot of BS about people using the bypass. I guess the state finally shut it down.

I remember once, going through the rocks at the beginning, someone in a brand new DII came off a rock too fast and the back body of the truck twisted into a tree. The back left corner of the truck most definitely got a legitimate trail scar. Yikes!
