A page back, prior to the water pump going south......I had made mention we were planning to head South as well to NC for the weekend.......Changed our minds due to Hurricane Mathew.......GLAD WE DID!!......My brother & family are all in the middle of that flooding, parts of I95 closed, streets gone, no gas, no supplies to food stores, power on & off, RT40 closed......can't even get to Mom's.... I guess they have a real mess on their hands down there, some rivers have yet to crest......Everybody in the family are fine, high & dry.....but what a mess.....good call not to storm chase this time!

Stole myself some time yesterday.........

A subtle start......clean off excess plastic & fender aluminum.
Removed the lower lip that wrapped under the stock bumper which will no longer be needed....lower portion of fender as well which previously supported/filled the side plastic area.....

Not a huge task, but definitely cleaned it up!
I'm thinking this bumper won't be a winch bumper, just going to toy around with this one and I'll want a matching rear so I'm just going to keep it simple this time around. Also considering a steel grill instead of all this plastic, we'll see what time permits....

My first thought in building this is to get fairly outside of the realm of all those cookie cutter bumpers.......let's get outside of the box a bit...

Mounting & recovery points done, recovery 3/4", mounting 1/4" and bolted to 4 areas each side....7/16 hardware....

Going to start on the top next, we'll see where it goes!

Going to keep this one 'High and Tight.............Stole that line from Donald.

The obvious question here is; What do you use to cut all that grass with?
