Had a car at the Frankenmuth car show this past summer, wife bought me a white logo T shirt from the show, asked her why didn't she buy me a green one instead, since I'm a slob and white does me no favors, and she said...they didn't have green, the only other color was grey. A short discussion about me "seeing" a green ones pursued, and I'm sure they have some. So, we walked over to the booth and she exchanged my white shirt for a grey, my eyes say green, shirt. The lady at the booth agreed with my wife, naturally...lol, but the color is still a debateable discussion everytime it makes an appearance...lol.
Anyhow, blue was my wife's first chioce as a color...but the one we checked out in Lansing had to many issues.

Time to trade places...
Trans. out of the 01. 03 waiting patiently.
Swapped bays...
Trans. in the 01 and 03 is under the engine hoist. All systems are go, as soon as the front driveshaft gets here. I'd take the one off the 03, but it lost its balance weight a couple days ago.
Jumped in with both feet on these things and barely made a ripple, straight to the bottom...no one even had a clue where to throw the life preserver...lol.
Used to only be a full time mechanic at work, but having these two LR's has turned me into a full time mechanic here, too. Actually, the transmission job went pretty smoothly. Now, if the engine rebuild goes nearly as nice...life will not be to bad.

Took my Discovery for a spin tonight, just getting a feeling for the new/used trans. and checking fluid levels. Everything went pretty well, until, I went to lower the arm rest...that wasn't there. I'm like???
Came in the house and told my wife that my Discovery doesn't have an arm rests like hers.
She says, "That's what the SD stands for on yours...Shi**y Discovery." "Mine is a HSE...High Society Edition".
Darn wife's anyway...
