Looking into buying a 03 Disco and I know that rusted undercarriages are quite common on these. I wanted an opinion from you guys if the one I'm looking at is worth buying or not. The body and interior looks great.
dang those are some clean looking undersides! Mine is from MN and it is rusty underneath, but fortunately for me it leaks so much oil that I think that has saved some of the parts. It's not as rusty as the one in question. Personally, I'd veer away from that one unless it's the only one around.
This would be considered a normal amount of rust...in Michigan...on a vehicle of that age (if driven in the winter or on dirt roads). It just comes with the territory here.
We have 60 year old cars in better condition than that underneath, but then mild winters with no snow or salted roads to eat the metal.
Do you guys use salt on the rds up north ?
