Man... when I'm driving my Disco and smell burning rubber, I let up off of the gas, turn down the radio (because you know you can smell better when there isn't any noise distractions ) and then I start to freak out thinking my Disco is about to burst into flames.

so true! My disco smoked twice really heavy. One from grounded radio and blower fan shorted. Last time i stopped when i smelt rubber but it was from the truck infront of me. Lol

Wish I would have seen your posts yesterday I feel conflicted - like I need to create a flow chart with a lot of 'yes's' and 'no's' to figure out what is wrong with my Rover.. lol...

Is something broken
?

leave it alone and let it drip <---- NO YES ----> start getting busy, skin some knuckles and try not to eat sand

That's as far as I've gotten with this .. I'm feeling like a ding bat lately and keep looking at both of your posts wondering what the hell I'm doing.

One post says 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.. and the other posts states you removed something. Why would you remove it if it ain't broke??? I'm sooooo confused!

Don't mind me.. I'll keep looking for the answer wherever it may lay....Just needed to vent

Ll_1, you have the 'weekend tinkerers' who cannot help themselves when it comes to tinkering with their cars so the expression 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' was coined and directed specifically at them as more often than not they 'tinker' around until they break something and then jump onto their preferred forum for help to 'fix' their tinkering damage.
