Default Canister Vent Solenoid Alternatives

If you have any of the CVS related DTCs and have decided that you need to replace the Canister Vent Solenoid this is for you. I just got my DII back on the road and when I started it for the 2nd time I had a p0446 code, cleared it, started another 2 times and now had a p0447 code. After checking some other things I went looking for a new CVS. Atlantic wants $500 for p/n WTY000020G and $270 for p/n WTY100000G (both Genuine LR). I cannot justify that so I kept searching and finally same some that looked remarkably similar on Amazon. I am trying to Pass inspection within 10 days so I opted for this one that I found on another forum for the immediate availability.

Typical response from you, no little included and then asking for more information.

You are here collecting BZs and atta boys in thanks by members. Congratulations for being so adorned.

Have you noticed how many thanks you've given out to others? If below you to be thankful please let us know.

Number9 Let me be the first to "Thank" you for being an complete idiot... I use my iPhone or Android 99% of the time posting on LRF and the "Thanks" option isn't there... So before you toss someone under the bus for saying "Nice Find" you might want to think before you speak!

Thanks. Best I cared to look some GM vehicles. That's like the parts counter guy asking what vehicle, doesn't matter I'm putting it on a land rover which it isn't listed as fitting. Haha even better I love when they ask what size tire. I feel like Ron Swanson at home improvement stores, but in parts stores.

Yeah I love it when I go into an Auto Parts store with just the part #. They go pull the part and then ask what vehicle it's for to verify fitment. I tell them what I'm buying it for and the look they give me just makes my day. On more $$$ parts I tell them it's for whatever vehicle they have it listed for so I get the warranty, but on smaller items the look on their faces is just to priceless to pass up.

Thank you very much for your find. I have a 99 and an 02 D2 and I had an issue with one of those valves and P0447. I grabbed a used one at a junk yard finally, but I'll grab myself a new one tomorrow.

Thanks, glad you included the preface. Coming from you that's a supreme "thumbs up" and compliment......If not for you I wouldn't have realized what many miss out on by using some of the more limited mobile devices. Sure enough after looking at my Android phone "thanks" are limited as well when browsing or responding......You must use Siri or be a damn fine thumber on your iPhone's small screen.
