Looking good! Had a four inch piece of foam at first, very comfortable. The self inflating pads used now are, they say three in description, but are around two and a half. They are okay, but nothing like the four inch foam. However, they store easily...about the size of a canvas folding chair. Anyhow, keep up the good work.

What's the support structure underneath?

Right now its supported by the bins, but i'm planning on making a frame out of wood that is lower profile, and slide lower profile bins in as well.

Thanks! I follow your build thread for a lot of these ideas anyway. Next step is to remove the headliner...

Looks great!

...but instead of wooden supports underneath your plywood, why not chains hooked to the seat belt straphangers?

Wait... Is that a thing? Will it support both sides, and the weight of 2 people + the plywood?

If this is a thing please tell me you have pics !

Better off to secure it properly, especially if there is any chance of this happening. This picture is from an outing I went on last fall, not my rover. Learned a lot about "how and how not" to store stuff inside the rover after this trip.

Personally, I hate rattles/squeaks/rubbing noises. That is another reason mine is bolted down in the front, where seats were mounted and swivel tie-downed in the rear to floor d-rings. It isn't going anywhere...well...at least without the rest of the rover attached...lol.
