Off Road Wheels 04 Disco

Off Road Wheels 04 Disco
So I am looking at wheels for getting my off road setup started on my disco. I want it to still look good. So here are my questions
1. What the hell is an H wheel offset. Looking on google it says its for commerical vehicles and thats as far as i can get.
2. Pre 99 discos shared the wheel patterns with the defender. Can I convert my 04 to this? Is it worth it?
3. Whats everyones favorite 16" wheel in the 5x112 H offset catagory or alternative. If alt please specify the offset and how its working for you.
Is there an advantage to using a shallower offset(pushing the wheel out to get bigger tires on) over using spacers?

1. No clue. I spent weeks researching wheel options, ended up settling on the terrafirma beadlock alloy wheels. $970 shipped from UK. I'd suggest those, the dakar black ones (silver is no longer made), or 16x7 steelies (on the cheap)
2. I don't think wheel adapters are a particularly good idea. Just personal opinion.
3. as I said in #1, if you want to pull the trigger on something asap, go with one of those 3. Or, spend weeks trying to find a matching bolt pattern, backspacing, hub diameter, etc
I really wanted the 16x7 silver steelies (for the d1/defender), but couldn't figure out a good route to convert the bolt pattern. I didn't want wheels sticking out super far either.
The TF beadlocks are 16x7 non-beadlocked, and 16x8 beadlocked. Beadlocking is completely optional. I run them non-beadlocked, with 235/85r16 tires.
