Ok - So some of you might remember about a week ago that my lower hose blew off my t-stat and I was stranded about 8 miles from my house. After a $56 AAA membership, I got Tricky Dick back home.

Since then, I have ordered a new lower hose and a 180 degree t-stat from Lucky8

To avoid a hose blowing off again, I have picked up some worm gear hose clamps to replace all the OEM clamps on every hose with the exception of the hose that "used" to go to the throttle body heater.

Today, I removed all the hoses and flushed they system. Tomorrow or later this week, after everything dries out, I plan to reassemble and start the bleeding process.

I guess what bothers me is that bleeding the system shouldn't be a process but rather a simple task.. Bleh!

 

Everything is put back together and so far no leaks

Trying my new bleeding process as I thought about how the heater core is positioned...

 

I would think the higher the front of the truck the better, no? Not really tilted to the side?

 

 

So you are just using the expansion tank to bleed then?

 

 

 

Is this a common O ring or a special part from Land Rover or a rubber gasket on the end of the pipe?
