i think you mean a Range Rover p38? yes p38 rims will fit on a D2.

 

OK, the p38 wheels will go on my new disco 2 year 2000. Now these wheels are beautiful 18"x8" wheels with land rover caps. What tire size should I look for. my Disco 2 is not lifted (yet) but I would only do a 1" if I did anything.
Size for this 18" rim?

 

OK, To be clearer, I was given 18x8" wheels from a 1999 p38. My 2000 D2 has no lift. these are beautiful wheels. What tire size should I buy for them and any recommendation for the brand and or service rating on the tires? I understand from an earlier post that the p38 range rover wheels will fit? Just need to know the size of skins that I should buy.

the P38 wheels will fit.
i am running these Falken Ziex S/TZ-04 tires - Reviews, ratings and specs in the Seattle/Tacoma/Bellingham Area - Discount Tire/America's Tire on my '03 disco, and i love them. not really off road tires, but they did great in the snow this year.
there are a couple threads on here with some more offroad oriented tires for 18" wheels if you do a search. i'll try to find it also.
